Fixed wireless links need height, and for a WISP that usually means a tower at the customer site, a relay point or a small POP. Bursma Distributing works as a WISP tower distributor for wireless internet providers and fixed wireless installers, supplying tower sections and complete self-supporting towers alongside the rest of the Broadband - WiFi division.
Tower sections for WISP and fixed wireless builds
The sectional parts let you stack a tower to the height a link needs:
- 25G: 10′ center section (AME25), 9′ top section (AME25TRB), 3′ base section SB25G (AME25B3) and 3′ hinged base SBH25G (AME25BT)
- 45G: 10′ center section (AME45)
- 6-step sections: S-5 center section (AME6SC) and S-7 9′ top with set screws (AME6ST)
- #5 straight tower section (COMDMX05S)
Self-supporting towers
Where guy anchors will not fit, there are two self-supporting towers, each listed with its stub: a 40′ tower (COMDMX44) and a 64′ tower (COMDMX68). For a WISP these suit a subscriber site or relay point where there is no room to guy a sectional tower.
Engineering, foundations and permits stay with the installer and the site owner; check local requirements before you order.
The same towers are listed in the antenna division; antenna installers can use Antenna - Tower - Satellite towers. For pricing and availability, dealers ask their Bursma sales representative. Open a dealer account to order.
