Bulk Wire is the uncut cable side of the Wire - Cables - Connectors division: cable bought by length and terminated on site, rather than finished cables made up at the factory. Bursma Electronic Distributing sells bulk low voltage cable wholesale to security dealers, AV integrators, network installers and other trade contractors who pull their own runs during pre-wire, new construction and retrofit work.

What bulk low voltage cable wholesale covers

On a typical low-voltage job, bulk cable falls into a few families an installer will recognise:

  • Twisted-pair data cable for network drops, access points and IP cameras.
  • Speaker wire for in-wall and in-ceiling speakers and distributed audio runs.
  • Multi-conductor alarm and control wire for keypads, sensors, sirens and low-voltage control circuits.
  • Coaxial cable for antenna, satellite and video distribution.

Pulling from bulk lets a crew cut every run to the length the building actually needs, leave a service loop where it makes sense and terminate at the device, the wall plate or the head end. Before the cable goes in, check the jacket rating against the space it runs through: plenum-rated (CMP) cable for air-handling spaces, riser-rated (CMR) for vertical runs between floors, and general-purpose ratings elsewhere, as your local code and inspector require.

Some cable types also sit in the division where they are most often used. Security dealers will find alarm cable under Security Wire, and antenna and satellite installers will find coaxial cable under Coax. To finish the runs, see Connectors for terminations and Wire & Cable Management for keeping them organized at the panel or rack.
