When a TV antenna has to get above trees, neighboring buildings or terrain to reach distant stations, a roof mount is not always enough. Bursma Distributing handles antenna tower supply for TV antenna installers in Michigan and Ohio, listing tower sections and complete self-supporting towers in the Antenna - Tower - Satellite division.
Antenna tower supply in Michigan: sections to build height
A sectional tower is stacked from a base, center sections and a top section. The parts listed here:
- Bases: 3′ base section, SB25G (AME25B3), and 3′ hinged base, SBH25G (AME25BT)
- Center sections: 10′ 25G center section (AME25), 10′ 45G center section (AME45), S-5 6-step center section (AME6SC) and #5 straight tower section (COMDMX05S)
- Top sections: 25G 9′ top section (AME25TRB) and S-7 6-step 9′ top with set screws (AME6ST)
Keep each tower to one series from base to top so the sections match. Both a standard and a hinged 3′ base are listed, so choose the base the tower design calls for before the rest of the order.
Self-supporting antenna towers
For a yard without room for guy anchors, two self-supporting towers are listed with their stubs: a 40′ tower (COMDMX44) and a 64′ tower (COMDMX68). The height you need depends on what stands between the antenna and the transmitters, so survey the site first.
Engineering, foundations, permits and any local height limits are the installer’s and property owner’s responsibility; check them before ordering. On top of the tower, pair the antenna with a rotor when the stations sit in more than one direction.
